2013 Mustang Shelby GT500 Vs 2014 Nissan GT-R In A Special Drag Race
While most races involving the Ford Mustang Shelby GT500 and the Nissan GT-R go for rolling starts, the one we have here saw the going for the standing take-off.
A drag race that sees the Mustang Shelby GT500 duking it out with the R35 GT-R shouldn’t be all that special, and the one we have here is and that is because, unlike most brawls of this kind, the fight sees the two speed demons going for the standing start.
That is right – the ‘Stang driver allowed Godzilla to use its massive all-wheel-drive take-off advantage for this adventure.
Nevertheless, since we are talking about the muscle car that mixes traction issues with the clutch, the score had to be settled somehow.
As such, this adventure included two races: the first saw the Nissan GT-R driver simply taking off as if the whole thing was the impromptu traffic light meet, while the second allowed this guy to use the infamous launch control feature of the Nissan halo vehicle.
How did this influence the results? We won’t ruin the fun of this video by throwing spoiler your way, so the answer lies behind the play button at the bottom of the page.
