In this day and age, it seems like trucks have really evolved past their original function of being nothing more than a cargo hauler, a brute of a mechanical contraption that was designed to be able to bring the muscle to the table the table to get the job done no matter how big it might be. With all sorts of creature comforts tossed into the mix, some trucks have become better commuters that are able to offer up a little bit more than anybody had probably originally anticipated and have even managed to throw a sort of trendy flare into the mix. Who would’ve thought that something originally designed to haul around lumber would have things like navigation, heated seats, and even Bluetooth?
Now, we have to say that we’re pretty in love with some of these options that you’ll find on trucks these days, however, every once in a while, you want to see a truck that’s really able to prove once again that it’s as much of a workhorse as it needs to be, really giving off that bravado that gives you the confidence to know that you can pull just about anything that you need as your truck is never going to give up on you. It’s big and bad and definitely packs a punch that will keep you happy when it comes time to get down to work because after all, you can’t play if you don’t put it in the elbow grease first, right?
If you follow along down in the video below, you’ll be able to watch the moment as the covers are pulled off of the 2019 line of Chevrolet Silverado medium and heavy-duty trucks, introducing the 4500 and 6500 models that really tower over most of the other things that you’ll see you on the road out there. How exactly these beasts are going to hold up out in the field is yet to be seen, however, I can say that straihgt off of the bat, that the initial impression here is that we wouldn’t want to run into these things in a dark alley.
